Client Who Was Charged With Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, a State Jail Felony Offense, Has Charges Reduced to Class C Misdemeanor
A client was arrested and charged with a State Jail Felony Offense of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle. A conviction for this offense could result in up to two years in a state jail facility. After further investigation by Ms. Kennedy into the facts and circumstances surrounding the initial stop, Ms. Kennedy was able to get the charges dropped down to a Class C misdemeanor offense of Failing to Obey an Official Traffic Control Device, which only carries a fine. As result, the Client will not be on probation and will not have a felony conviction on his record.
